Founded in 2007 by Professor Bertin Njinou Ngninkeu, an internationally renowned urologist, CMCU was born from a strong ambition: to offer Cameroonian patients specialized care that meets international standards. Nearly twenty years after the center's creation, this vision takes on a new dimension with the integration of robot-assisted surgery.Highly encouraging early results
Since its installation, the surgical robot has already been used to successfully carry out a first series of seven procedures, including 6 radical prostatectomies and 1 partial nephrectomy.Early results demonstrate the performance of this technology:
- Radical prostatectomy performed in under 60 minutes.
- Partial nephrectomy performed in around 50 minutes.
- Minimal blood loss.
- Patients autonomous the same day, with walking resumed from the second day.
